Beta Sur

Bodegas Barbadillo boasts 500 hectares of vineyards with white albariza soils in Cadiz where the Palomino Fino grapes, which are used to produce our white wines and our Manzanillas and Jerez sherries, grow alongside our Chardonnay grapes under the unique light of the sun in Cadiz. Several years ago Barbadillo’s oenologists combined these two grapes to create the first sparkling wine produced using the traditional method. That is how Beta, Barbadillo’s Southern Brut came to exist. Barbadillo, the 100% family-owned, Andalusian and genuinely Spanish winery, now presents Beta Sur, the product of its dedication to continued innovation. The same traditional method has been used in the production of this Brut Nature, however it has spent an extra 20 months ageing on lees.

The South is an attitude and a way of life, and with this new brut, Bodegas Barbadillo wants to take you on a journey to the very South of the South.
