The 23rd edition of the Nariz de Oro (Golden Nose) wine competition was held in Madrid on Tuesday 29th April. This legendary competition awards sommeliers capable of distinguishing a wine served in a black glass, guided only by its aroma.
The event brought together 40 sommeliers who tasted over 40 wines in a blind tasting. This prestigious competition, organised by the Vino+Gastronomía magazine, was held in the Hotel Silken Puerta América in Madrid and featured some of the best sommeliers from central Spain.
As a result of their scoring, respected wine professionals chose Oloroso Seco Cuco as being amongst the best of the fortified wines. Consequently, this jewel of a wine from Barbadillo has qualified for the final of Spain’s Los Mejores Vinos competition, which will be held in June in Madrid.
