Bota única CASTILLO Palo Cortado 2/3

Four half casks were found in the Cellar of El Castillo, originating from the biological aging area that disappeared from La Cilla. Paco Vázquez, a former racker, decided to leave them there, except for one with crystal bottoms, which was not preserved. After almost a decade of being forgotten, they were tasted in March 2024, just before the change of use of the cellar. Three of them were identified with well-defined profiles and were emptied, being named according to the tasting. Now, two casks of Palo Cortado and one of Amontillado are being released to the market—wines of great quality, previously unknown until today.
